The team at Dogger Bank D have had a grid connection confirmed. They will link in to the Birkhill Wood substation which is near Cottingham and will form part of the Southern Cluster. This means that they are no longer pursuing the hydrogen option.
They will bring a cable onshore somewhere along the East Riding coast and take it underground to the Birkhill Wood substation. The cable corridor has not yet been confirmed. When asked if they can follow the same corridor as Dogger Bank A cables, they did not think this was possible.
